Matri Bhavan College Of Nursing Ramakrishna Sarada Mission

In April 2007, Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Matri Bhavan School of Nursing was established for imparting the Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery [ANM] Programme of the Indian Nursing Council and West Bengal Nursing Council under the NRHM PPP Scheme, Govt. of West Bengal. The School is thus recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, the West Bengal Nursing Council & Govt. of West Bengal. It has been upgraded to a General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) School from 2011 and is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and West Bengal Nursing Council. The GNM Programme has commenced on and from September 2011.
The syllabus, rules and regulations prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council for the three years Diploma Programme including Internship for six months, are followed by the School.
From 2021 Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Matri Bhavan School of Nursing has been upgraded to College of Nursing named as Matri Bhavan College of Nursing Ramakrishna Sarada Mission, 29, Sree Mohan Lane, Kolkata – 700026. Matri Bhavan College of Nursing RKSM is affiliated to The West Bengal University of Health Sciences, The Indian Nursing Council & the West Bengal Nursing Council.

About Courses

Apart from the Hospital Services Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Matri Bhavan’s is also conducting Educational Services for empowerment of women.

B. Sc. Nursing Training : College of Nursing for the training of 4 years Graduate Nursing and Midwifery Courses recognized by the Indian Nursing Council & West Bengal Nursing Council, West Bengal Universities of Health Sciences.

Duration :4 Years (Divided into 8th Semester. Each semester duration six months).

Intake : 50 students per year.

Graduation : Graduation certificate is issued by the West Bengal University of Health Sciences to students, when all requirements of the course have been fulfilled and on completion of the training programme.

Admission: Candidates for admission are centrally selected through the Joint Entrance Examination (JENPAS-UG). About JENPAS-UG

Job Opportunities : Job in Nursing is very much essential in health care setting. In all the time there is a dearth of nursing personnel in Hospital, Teaching Institutions, and Community setting as well as in Nursing Administration.
